Why I started The Finishing Touch

The Finishing Touch was born from a simple but important belief: your space should feel like an exhale, not another item on your to-do list. I started this business after seeing how often busy families, professionals, caregivers, business owners, and property managers were trying to carry it all — work, kids, pets, clients, projects, life — and still somehow keep their spaces feeling peaceful, presentable, and pulled together.

I’ve always been drawn to the quiet details: the way a freshly made bed changes a room, how styled surfaces make a space feel intentional, how a clean entryway changes the way a client feels when they walk into a business, and how a finished project feels different once the dust is gone. What began as helping friends and family quickly grew into a trusted local service, and over time The Finishing Touch expanded into full-service care: residential cleaning, organizing, staging, interior decorating, seasonal styling, Airbnb turnovers, commercial cleaning, and post-construction or renovation cleans.

Today, my team and I treat every space as if it carries a story — respecting privacy, honoring routines, protecting the details, and paying attention to the small things most people overlook. What’s included in an initial clean? +
An initial clean is a deeper, more detailed visit designed to reset your home before recurring upkeep begins. We focus on high-touch areas, bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, floors, dusting throughout, and extra attention in spaces that have more buildup. Once we’ve completed the initial clean, we can move you into a standard recurring maintenance schedule.
Do you offer organizing, staging, or decorating as stand-alone services? +
Yes. In addition to cleaning, we offer organizing, staging and styling, interior decorating, and seasonal or holiday decorating. These can be booked as stand-alone services or layered on top of a cleaning visit depending on your goals.
Commercial, Rentals & Project-Based Cleaning
Do you offer commercial cleaning? +
Yes. We offer cleaning support for small commercial spaces such as offices, business suites, salons, wellness spaces, medical offices, dental offices, vet clinics, daycare spaces, and property management spaces. Commercial estimates are based on the type of business, square footage, restrooms, flooring, cleaning frequency, access, and scope.
Do you offer post-construction or renovation cleaning? +
Yes. We offer post-construction and renovation cleaning for homeowners, builders, contractors, property managers, and business owners. These projects are quoted based on square footage, dust level, debris, windows, cabinet interiors, appliances, utilities, paint or adhesive removal, timeline, and the level of detail needed.
Do you clean Airbnb or short-term rental properties? +
Yes. We offer Airbnb and short-term rental turnovers. These are quoted differently than standard residential cleaning because they may include bed resets, trash removal, restocking, light staging, photos, owner notes, and a tighter checkout-to-check-in timeline.

How do you price your services? +
Pricing is based on a combination of property type, square footage, condition, number of bathrooms, layout, lifestyle factors such as pets, and the type of service you’re requesting. Commercial, Airbnb, move-in/move-out, and post-construction projects are quoted based on their specific scope. We start with a ballpark range from your intake form, then confirm details after reviewing photos, video, or a walkthrough if needed.
Why is the initial clean more than a standard maintenance clean? +
The initial visit allows us to catch up on buildup, detail areas that may have been overlooked, and set your home up for easier upkeep moving forward. Once that baseline is established, recurring visits are typically less time-intensive and priced accordingly.
How do I request a quote or get on your schedule? +
The best first step is to complete our quick intake form so we can learn more about your home, business, rental, or project. From there, we’ll follow up with a tailored estimate and next steps to either schedule your service or set up a walkthrough.
Policies & Property Care
Do I need to be present during the clean? +
You’re welcome to be present, but it’s not required. Many clients provide access via lockbox, code, key, or coordinated entry instructions. We’ll review access instructions, pets, alarms, parking, and any special requests before your visit so everything feels seamless and secure.
What is your cancellation policy? +
Because we reserve a dedicated block of time for your property, we do require advance notice for cancellations or reschedules. Details of our current cancellation policy are shared during booking, and we’re happy to clarify anything before your first visit.
Are your cleaners insured or background checked? +
Yes. We take safety seriously. Our team is carefully vetted, held to The Finishing Touch standards, and expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, client privacy, quality, and respect for every property we enter. We also carry appropriate insurance and follow a clear process for protecting your home, business, or project space.
